Cacao Ceremony & Ecstatic Dance

Join us on Sunday, December 4th for a heart opening cacao ceremony followed by an evening of ecstatic dance. Come as you are and connect to your body and your heart in our safe container. Ecstatic dance is a personal practice of self expression and liberation. You are honored in your personal space and may choose to dance with others if you desire, however there is no pressure to ever dance with anyone else. This is your journey! Do not worry if you have never experienced ecstatic dance or cacao before. You will have the opportunity to drink ceremonial grade cacao prepared traditionally by indigenous communities in Guatemala. Please try to refrain from drinking coffee the day of the ceremony as cacao is already a natural stimulant, and if you have to - drink it at least three hours before the ceremony. To experience the full potency of the cacao, try not to eat during the three hours leading up to the ceremony. If you are currently taking SSRIs, pregnant, or have a heart condition, you should not participate in drinking the cacao. Wear clothes you feel comfortable moving and sweating in and remember we will be dancing barefoot! We cannot wait to see you on Sunday December 4th!
